Evidence and limitations
Evidence matters more than promises.
We distinguish educational examples, proposed workflows and measured results. No productivity or patient-outcome benefit is claimed without appropriate evidence.
Useful starting points
- NHS England — guidance on generative AI (check applicability and current version).
- UK Information Commissioner's Office — UK GDPR guidance.
- MHRA — medical device regulatory resources (where relevant).
- World Health Organization — AI and health.
How we evaluate claims
For a proposed workflow we ask whether the organisation has approved the tool, whether inputs are permitted, whether staff can verify outputs, and whether measured outcomes justify further testing. We do not treat a successful fictional example as proof of real-world safety or effectiveness.
Jurisdiction matters: UK-wide guidance is not automatically identical across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Local policies and professional requirements take precedence.
